Reginald Delk: 17 points, 5 rebounds

      Reginald Delk has done it again! The Louisville starter is showing that he can score at a high-level in Europe. In last night's performance, Delk put up 17 points while connecting on 40% of his three-point attempts. He also grabbed 5 rebounds. Delk is averaging 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists per game, while shooting 50% from downtown.

Nick Okorie: 18 pts, 3 reb, 3 ast

      Nick Okorie has played his first game, since signing in Germany earlier this month with Saar-Pfalz Braves. Okorie graduated in 2010 from Texas Tech University and started his European career in Finland last year. He was one of the top guards in a very competitive league and had averages of 16ppg, 3rpg, 3apg. In his first game in Germany, Okorie led his team with 18 points on 41% shooting. He also contributed with 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 blocked shot.

PJ Alawoya: 14 points, 14 rebounds

      PJ Alawoya has played his first game, since signing in Germany earlier this month with Saar-Pfalz Braves. Alawoya, who was #16 in the NCAA last year in rebounding (10.6 per game), has began his European career in the same way. Last night in a close loss to Webmoebel, Alawoya scored 14 points on 6 of 11 shooting. He also pulled down 14 rebounds (6 offensive) and had 1 steal. Look for Alawoya to continnue his monstrous rebounding and become on of the top rebounders in Germany.

Marcus Lewis: 1st Team Selection

        All 16 NBA D-League teams gathered in Reno, Nevada this week for the annual Showcase. Over the course of four days, each team played two games and players had the opportunity to showcase their abilities in front of scouts and executives from the NBA, as well as representatives from Europe.  Marcus Lewis' first game was mediocre compared to how he has been playing this seson – 9 points and 11 rebounds. However, his second game was much stronger. Lewis had 23 points, missing only one shot from the field (11 of 12). He also pulled down 12 rebounds and had 3 assists & 3 steals. At the end of the showcase, Marcus Lewis (along with 4 other players), was selected to the NBA D-League All-Showcase 1st Team.

Justin Johnson: 12 pts, 2 ast, 2 stls

  The Dakota Wizards have lost stand-out guard, Anthony Goods to a team in Italy. Since then, rookie Justin Johnson has seen an increase in playing time. Last night in a close loss to the Rio Grande Vipers, Johnson played 27 minutes and had an un-characteristic shooting night, hitting only 3 of 11 from the field. However, Johnson was still a key contributor on both ends of the floor, with 12 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals.   Johnson is currently averaging 13 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists per game, while shooting 56% from the field, 31% from 3-point and 74% from the free-throw line.

  Reginald Delk, former University of Louisville starter, has made his European debut! Delk built his collegiate reputation the way most Rick Pitino players do, on the defensive end of the court, but also shot a stunning 42% from the 3-point line. Last season, in his rookie year, Delk had made the decision to play in the PBL to remain close to his family.  Now he is ready to to move to a bigger stage.   Last night, in his first European game, Delk shot the lights and and did what he does best – play defense. In 35 minutes of play, Reginald Delk had 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals, to lead his team to a victory and a great way to start the new year!

Daniel Northern: 9 pts, 20 rebs, 3 blks

   The Christmas break might have slowed down some players, but not  Northern. In his first game back, Daniel Northern did what he does      best – REBOUND and BLOCK SHOTS!  Tonight, in a close loss to the Worcester Wolves, Northern                connected on 3 of 6 shooting, giving him 9 points. But more    importantly, his interior presence tonight was monsterous: 20    rebounds, 2 steals and 3 blocks.    Northern was awarded the Game's Most Valuable Player Award.

Doug Thomas: 15 points, 5 rebounds

    Doug Thomas has returned from NBA training camp with the San Antonio Spurs and has brought some confidence back with him. He is still grabbing rebounds and scoring with high-flying dunks, but something about being with veteran big-man Tim Duncan has boosted Doug's confidence in taking the 15-foot shot. In back-to-back games against the Idaho Stampede, Thomas has scored in double digits twice. On Wednesday night he put up 13 points while shooting 4 of 5, and Friday had 15 points on 6 of 10 shooting.  He also contributed with 4 and 5 rebounds, respectively.

Spencer Perrin: 17, 4 and 3

    Spencer Perrin has had to pick up some of the slack now that former American teammate, Perry Petty has left the team. In last night's game, Perrin shot 6 of 13 from the field, including two 3-pointers to give him 17 points. He also pitched in with 4 rebounds and 2 steals.

Daniel Northern: 14 points, 15 rebounds

    Daniel Northern has had yet another incredible game, and his 7th double-double in just 9 games. Northern helped his team defeat the Durham Wildcats, of the BBL, 87-74. He made his presence known on both ends of the court, as he filled the stat-sheet: 14 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks and 1 steal.  After a very successful collegiate career at Tennessee Tech (13ppg, 9rpg, 3bpg) and despite interest from NBA teams, the 6'9 power forward did not get drafted. He subsequently signed in Spain's LEB Gold Division, where he averaged 8ppg and 6rpg as a rookie. In his 2nd year as a pro, Northern suffered a severe ankle injury.
