      Spurs Add Four to Training Camp Roster Dec. 10, 2011 SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs today announced the addition of four players to their 2011-12 training camp roster. The Spurs current roster stands at 17 players, and includes the additions of guard Devin Gibson,forwards Frank Hassell and Doug Thomas, and center Luke Zeller. Thomas gets his chance with the Spurs after playing 99 games in three season with the Bighorns.  He has averaged 8 points and 7.2 rebounds this season and will look to bring his high-energy rebounding to the NBA. Daniel Northern: 14 points, 15 rebounds

    Daniel Northern has had yet another incredible game, and his 7th double-double in just 9 games. Northern helped his team defeat the Durham Wildcats, of the BBL, 87-74. He made his presence known on both ends of the court, as he filled the stat-sheet: 14 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks and 1 steal.  After a very successful collegiate career at Tennessee Tech (13ppg, 9rpg, 3bpg) and despite interest from NBA teams, the 6'9 power forward did not get drafted. He subsequently signed in Spain's LEB Gold Division, where he averaged 8ppg and 6rpg as a rookie. In his 2nd year as a pro, Northern suffered a severe ankle injury. Marcus Lewis to Milwaukee Bucks

        Bucks Announce 2011 Training Camp Roster 12/10/2011 The Bucks announced their training camp roster today with the additions of Darington Hobson, Ron Howard and Marcus Lewis.  Hobson (6-7, 210) was a second-round pick by the Bucks in 2010 but sat out the 2010-11 season after undergoing surgery to repair both of his hips. After two seasons of junior college ball at the College of Eastern Utah, Hobson transferred to New Mexico and was the Mountain West Conference’s Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year in 2009-10. Howard (6-5, 200) will participate in his second training camp with the Bucks (2008) after beginning this season with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA D-League. A four-year veteran of the D-League, Howard was named to the D-League All-Star Game in 2010 and has averaged 16.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 132 career games.

Will Pratt: 11 points vs 2011 Champions

    Will Pratt has now played 6 games as a professional basketball player in the NBA D-league, but has had to make quite a change in his game.  Coming from Northwestern State where he averaged 18 ppg and led the Nation in getting to the free-throw line – he now must play behind veteran scorers Gabe Pruitt, Anthony Mason, Jr., and West Virginia rookie, Casey Mitchell.   Tonight, Pratt finally got a chance to play a few more minutes against the 2010/2011 NBA D-League Champions, the Iowa Energy. He scored 11 points on 4 of 8 shooting, grabbed 5 rebounds, had 2 assists and 2 steals.

Justin Johnson: 15 points in NBDL debut

    Justin Johnson, 3rd-round draft pick for the Dakota Wizards, exploded in his debut performance in the NBA's Development League. Johnson, who was the NAIA Division I National Player of the Year for the 2010/2011 season, impressed many D-League teams when he went to the National Tryout in Louisville, Kentucky. There were questions by some as to whether or not he would be able to make the adjustments necessary to fit in as a professional player.   Tonight's performance speaks for itself; Johnson started the game by shooting a perfect 5 for 5 from the field, and in 24 minutes finished the game with 15 points, shooting 7 for 12. He also contributed with 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

Josh Dollard: 23 points, 6 rebounds

      After a much anticipated wait, Josh Dollard has finally made his first start in the Czech Republic.   Dollard first arrived in Europe a little over a month ago, for what was supposed to be a tryout period. After complications receiving his letter of clearance from the Dominican Republic, he was able to play his first game – coming off the bench getting 7 points and 7 rebounds.  Only days later, Dollard's luck continued to get worse when his arm became infected and sidelined him for several more games.   Last night, Dollard was finally able to actually play like he is used to.  In an extremely close loss to Inter Bratislava, he was able to put together a pretty solid stat-line: 23 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 steal in 28 minutes.  As he becomes more accustomed to the European game, look for his numbers

Kyle Luckett: Leaves D-League for Japan

      Kyle Luckett (Texas Legends), has officially found his new home, signing in the BJ League of Japan with the Shinshu Brave Warriors of Nagano. The 7-footer, who averaged 12ppg, 10rpg and 4bpg at Chabot, joins a very strong league, with players such as former NBA-er Kevin Palmer (Washington Wizards), and 2011 NBA Draft pick, Jeremy Tyler (Golden State Warriors). Luckett will be leaving next week and is excited for this new opportunity.

Marcus Lewis: 14 points, 16 rebounds

        The Tulsa 66ers started the 2011/2012 season off with a solid victory over the Idaho Stampede, 89-76. Three players from Team USA's Bronze-winning team are united on the 66ers (Marcus Lewis, Jerome, Curtis Sumpter). Their unselfish style of play has carried over from the summer and appears that their chemistry has grown. Lewis led the team in rebounding (16), while also contributing 14 points, 2 assists and 1 blocked shot. Look for Lewis to have a breakout year and carry this summer's winning into this year.

Doug Thomas: 10 rebounds in tough loss

        The NBA Development League kicked off opening night last night and for Doug Thomas and the Reno Bighorns, the start could have been a lot better. The game was close going into the second half, but the Bakersfield Jam quickly pulled away. Thomas led his team in rebounding (10), while also adding 6 points, 1 block and 1 steal, in 25 minutes of play. While Reno still has some kinks to workout, it appears that Thomas' is finally back in the starting 5, after spending last year in what was the worst experience of his career. Look for Thomas to get back to the double-double machine he was his first 2 years in the D-League.

Mikhail Torrance: 28 points, 21 minutes

      Mikhail Torrance is starting to adjust to the European game. After a couple of mediocre performances in his debut in Turkey, Torrance came out strong against TED Istanbul.  He 9 of 11 in the game, including 4 of 5 from three-point land. He also contributed with 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block…all in just 21 minutes of playing time.
