  Last night was a battle for the third place spot in Lithuania's 1st Division between Siauliai and Rudupis. When these clubs played last, it was Siauliai that took the victory in double overtime. This time, it was Rudupis that ending up with the 1-point win. Bowles did everything in his power to keep Siauliai ahead as long as possible, putting up 18 points on 9 of 16 shooting. He also grabbed 5 rebounds, 2 blocked shots and 1 steal.

  Mario Little (SG/SF) has proven what an asset he can be to a high-level team, on both ends of the floor. Little, now in the Ukraine, has helped his team win the last 2 out of 3 games, since joining them in late December. Playing for one of the Nation's top collegiate programs, Mario Little was mainly known for his lock-down defense and ability to hit the open 3-ball. After having appeared on several NBA Mock Draft Board's for 2011 and not getting drafted, Little contemplated whether he should remain in the States and play in the NBA D-League, or find a high-level league to play for in Europe. Now playing for Dnipro-Azot, Little has done whatever necessary to help his team win games.     Playing the Texas Legends twice in one week has proven to be very productive for Marcus Lewis. Following up a 25-rebound game on December 30th, Lewis went right to work again. This time, Lewis filled the stat sheet. In thirty-three minutes of action, Lewis shot 10 for 13 from the field, giving him 20 points. He also pulled down 12 rebounds, dished out 4 assists and had 2 blocks and 2 steals. Lewis is currently averaging 17 ppg, 14 rpg and 3 apg.

    The Tulsa 66ers took on the Texas Legends tonight, who have just recently acquired 7'2 NBA Veteran, Greg Ostertag. Ostertag, who spent most of his career playing beside Hall of Famers, John Stockton and Karl Malone, is known for his outstanding rebounding and shot-blocking ability.  However, tonight it was Marcus Lewis that stood out on the glass. Lewis did everything he could to help his team tonight, including a monstrous 25 rebounds! What was so impressive is that 10 of the rebounds were grabbed on the offensive end the court. Daniel Northern: 9 pts, 20 rebs, 3 blks

   The Christmas break might have slowed down some players, but not  Northern. In his first game back, Daniel Northern did what he does      best – REBOUND and BLOCK SHOTS!  Tonight, in a close loss to the Worcester Wolves, Northern                connected on 3 of 6 shooting, giving him 9 points. But more    importantly, his interior presence tonight was monsterous: 20    rebounds, 2 steals and 3 blocks.    Northern was awarded the Game's Most Valuable Player Award.

Marcus Lewis: 25 pts, 15 reb, 8 ast

      Marcus Lewis has just returned from two weeks at the Milwaukee Bucks training camp looking like a PRO. Lewis neared a triple-double in his first game back, playing the Erie Bayhawks.   Lewis was unguardable in the first half and it appeared that the entire offense ran through him. He had outstanding court vision, which led to his 8 assists, but also put up a season-high 25 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, to help his team in the close victory last night. Lewis is currently the leading rebounder in the NBA D-league and with the D-league Showcase approaching right around the corner, and Lewis' hunger to make it to the League…look for a 10-day call up in his near future.

Justin Johnson: 15 points, 6 rebounds

  Justin Johnson continues to impress. In the first of two back-to-back games against the Springfield Armor, Johnson put up 15 points on 6 of 13 shooting, including 1 of 2 from the 3-point line. He also grabbed 6 rebounds and had 1 assist. Johnson followed up the next night with 11 points on 5 of 6 shooting from the field. As Dakota Wizards players return from NBA training camps, look for Johnson's scoring role to slow down, but his play-maker role to increase, as he will likely be moving to the back-up PG spot.

Eugene Spates: 16 points, 10 rebounds

    Eugene Spates was the most efficient player in last night's game against the Dakota Wizards. Spates played only 17 minute for the Springfield Armor, but in that time was able to put up 16 points. He shot a very effective 6 of 11 from the floor, including 2 of 4 from the 3-point line. Spates also led all players in rebounding, grabbing 10 boards. He also had 1 assist and 1 block.

Will Pratt: 14 points, 3 rebounds

    With many Sioux Falls players returning from NBA training camps questions arose as to whether Pratt would see as many minutes in Coach McHone's lineup as he has the last couple of weeks. The Sioux Falls Skyforce played two games this week and Pratt did not get off the bench in the first game. However, last night Pratt was able to knock down 5 of 8 shooting (and 4 of 4 from the free throw line) to give him 14 points in 25 minutes of action. He also contributed with 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal against the Canton Charge.

Doug Thomas: 15 points, 5 rebounds

    Doug Thomas has returned from NBA training camp with the San Antonio Spurs and has brought some confidence back with him. He is still grabbing rebounds and scoring with high-flying dunks, but something about being with veteran big-man Tim Duncan has boosted Doug's confidence in taking the 15-foot shot. In back-to-back games against the Idaho Stampede, Thomas has scored in double digits twice. On Wednesday night he put up 13 points while shooting 4 of 5, and Friday had 15 points on 6 of 10 shooting.  He also contributed with 4 and 5 rebounds, respectively.
